Today's guest on the blog is LOVED IN SPACE author, Cara Bristol. I managed to sit down and get a chat with her about her book in the anthology, KRASH…

Tell me about your hero? What’s he like? What’s he want most out of life?

He is noble; he’s the kind of the man who will do the right thing. What he wanted most out of life was to be mated to Vetha, a woman on his home world, Dakon. He thought they were Fated, but she jilted him for another man. So he accepted an assigned to go to

Earth to convince other Dakonians to return home. Now he wants to complete his assignment and return to Dakon. He has no interest in dating a human. But the Fates have other ideas…

What’s one of your favourite things about writing SFR?

I love the creativity of it, and I find it illuminating. To create new worlds, I have to examine our own world and habits. When you look closely at what we humans do, you realize how ridiculous our habits are. The humor in KRASH and my other alien romances comes from the aliens’ struggle to understand human behavior.

Is this book part of a series? Tell us about your series…

KRASH is part of the Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides series, in which aliens from a primitive, icy planet come to Earth through a dating agency to find mates. There are seven books in the series, each named after the hero: Darak, Aton, Caid, Sixx, Kord, Braxx, and Krash. The Dakonian series is spin-off of my Alien Mate series, in which women from Earth go to planet Dakon to become mail order brides. Both the Dakonian and the Alien Mate series are light, funny and fun. Kind of like SFR romantic comedy.

How would your heroine finish this statement? When all else fails…

“Never let them see you sweat.”

Determined!. Cyan Blue is a fraud investigator who works for an organization that debunks urban legends. When she hears that a dating agency claims to match Earth women with extraterrestrials, she thinks it’s a hoax, and she sets out to expose the scam.

What’s your hero’s drink of choice? Dakonian ale. It’s made from macha, a grain on their planet. The ale is very bitter. Dakonians love it; most humans can’t stand it.

Check out Cara's other books at:

When a dating agency claims to match Earth women with extraterrestrials, fraud investigator Cyan Blue goes undercover as a client to expose the scam. She’s not interested in finding love, and certainly not with a pretend alien!

With their planet suffering a critical lack of females, Dakonian men begin emigrating to Earth in search of mates. Concerned about the impact of the mass exodus, Krash joins a dating agency to gain passage to Earth so he can convince his fellow Dakonians to return home. As soon as he completes his assignment, he’s going back to Dakon. The last thing he desires is to mate with a human.

Their missions are about to collide in a perfect match.
